what is zumba fitness?
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system. The routines feature aerobic/ fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It targets areas such as gluteus, legs, arms, abdominal and the most important muscle in the body, the heart. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
You don't have to know how to dance to do Zumba!
The Zumba program is designed to motivate everyone to get active and adhere to a fitness program; it combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participant to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO".
Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind; it is a feel happy workout!

what should i wear at zumba?
It is important to have comfortable pants that move with you. Clothing that restricts your movement is not advised. You need to have exercise clothing that moves with you. Wear thin layers that you can take off as you get warmer, you'll definitely be getting warm doing your Zumba workout!
Comfortable shoes are a must! Choose shoes that offer stability and cushion your movements. Comfortable training shoes are fine. If you want to wear flat dance shoes then they will be suitable too, anything that allows you to twist and turn with the music!
You will sweat in this class! So bring a towel, a bottle of water and a smile! See you at Zumba!
about our fitness classes
- Drink water before, during and after class and stay well hydrated.
- Go at your own pace. slow down if you feel out of breath.
- You don't need to be a dancer to do Zumba. If you love music and want to get a cardio workout, this is for you just let the music move your body...
- Do not get frustrated that you are not getting the steps right away; you will get it with practice.
- Feel the music, enjoy the dancing, and just jump in and have fun!
